NORWALK

 Huron County has been awarded $32,460 in federal funds by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 through the Huron County Emergency Food and Shelter program.

 Housing (rent or mortgage) and utility assistance is available to Huron County residents who have been unemployed for more than 30 days since Sept. 1.

Assistance is limited to one time per household, and cannot exceed $300 per household.
