BELLEVUE

The Ohio State Highway Patrol Sandusky post is investigating a two-vehicle crash that happened at approximately 12:20 p.m. Sunday at the intersection of Ohio 269 and Strecker Road.

Dennis J. Mewhorter, 65, of Upper Sandusky, driving a brown 2008 Chevy pickup truck, was transported to Bellevue Hospital by North Central EMS along with his passenger, Beverly Mewhorter, 62, also of Upper Sandusky.

Stephanie R. Thomas, age unknown, of Center Line Mich., driving a white 1998 Ford Taurus, was transported by LifeFlight to University of Toledo Medical Center. Her passengers, James Thomas, 26, of Center Line Mich., Zachary Gagnier, 15, of Twin Lakes Mich., Danielle Gagnier, 16, of Twin Lakes Mich., were transported to Bellevue Hospital by LifeFlight Mobile Ground Unit.

Assisting at the scene were Erie County Sheriff’s Department, North Central EMS, LifeFlight, Margaretta fire and EMS, Maags Towing and Snyder Towing
