Hollywood has come calling to Sandusky.
Nickelodeon, Bizzy Blondes Entertainment and Sony/BMG have asked the Sandusky State Theatre to help find a new star for an upcoming scripted television show on Nickelodeon.
The show, which is yet to be named, will chronicle the life of a fictional boy band.
Bizzy Blondes Enteriainmnt is looking for an actor who can play a 15-18-year old pop singer, although the actor doesn’t necessarily have to be in that age range, Herrera said.
Interested actors should send the theater a tape, DVD or Web link to their audition.
The audition must include the following:
- The actor’s full name, age, city and state where he lives.
- A recording of the actor singing the chorus and bridge of two pop songs a cappella (without music). No Broadway songs are allowed, and at least one of the songs must be uptempo.
- A recording of the actor performing two scenes as Donovan. To download the scenes, go to www.bizzyblondesentertainment.com and click on the “Casting Page” link.
Actors already signed to a record deal cannot apply, Herrera said.
Herrera said auditions should be sent to the theater as soon as possible because Nickelodeon would like to move the project forward quickly.
