Whether they're looking for entertainment, education or a chance to beautify the city, Sandusky residents don't have a shortage of options this Saturday.

Canoe Float

WHERE: Big Island/Pipe Creek Preserve Canoe Launch located off the Cedar Point Causeway on River Road

WHEN: 1-4 p.m. Saturday

INFO: Free. Canoes, lifejackets, and paddles will be provided.

2009 Starcraft Marine, Crown Battery LEWT tournament series

WHERE: City boat ramp at Shelby and Water streets

WHEN: Weigh-in begins at 3 p.m. Saturday

INFO: Sponsored by Western Basin Sportfishing Association and Lake Erie Walleye Trail. Third event of tournament series.

Senior citizens safety forum

WHERE: Sandusky Greenhouse, Monroe and Elm streets

WHEN: 8:30-10 a.m.

INFO: City commissioners Dan Kaman, Dave Waddington and Serving Our Seniors director Sue Daugherty will host. Coffee will be provided.

Neighborhood clean-up

WHERE: Central Park and surrounding neighborhood

WHEN: 9 a.m. to noon

INFO: One of five scheduled citywide efforts. John Hamilton, who mowed the park, will attend. The committee will provide cleaning supplies and refreshments for volunteers.
