Tax increases unlikely for Erie County in 2013

Elected officials and public employees said it's unlikely any tax imposed in Erie County will increase next year, in terms of percentage.

The nine taxes analyzed — including sales, property, bed, and income taxes — are collected through various means. The only tax that could possibly increase in Erie County is the bed tax, a fee assessed to anyone who stays in local hotels or motels.
