Millennium Force is still the champ.

For the seventh year in a row, the National Amusement Park Historical Association's annual poll has named Millennium Force the group's "Favorite Steel Coaster."

The victory gives Cedar Point a 14-year reign in the poll. Before Millennium Force became the group's favorite, Cedar Point's Magnum XL-200 was No. 1 from 1995 to 2001. The coasters shared first place in 2002 and 2004.

Millennium Force shut down for repairs Thursday but reopened Monday. The Magnum was listed No. 3 in the poll for the second year in a row.

In other roller coaster news, Cedar Point reports it expects nearly 1,500 roller coaster enthusiasts to show up Friday and Saturday for the 20th annual Coastermania.

The event, open to registered members of recognized roller coaster clubs, will include two new contests, a film festival and a keynote presentation from the man who designed the Magnum, Ron Toomer of Arrow Dynamics.
