It's official: Sandusky Schools will be one elementary building and one junior high smaller next year.

The board of education approved closing Madison Elementary and moving eighth grade into Adams Junior High.

The reorganization plan is projected to save the district $1.75 million, primarily through the elimination of 31.5 positions.
