SANDUSKY

Teachers at Jackson Junior High and Madison Elementary are preparing for the ax that could fall as Sandusky Schools reorganizes.

The board of education will vote Monday on a proposal to close Madison and move eighth grade from Jackson to Adams Junior High next school year.

Teachers met with union officials on Tuesday afternoon to discuss "what these changes could mean for your position and employment opportunities for next year," according to an e-mail to teachers from union president Brian Nitschke and vice president Tara Toft.
