JUST IN: Put-in-Bay to receive $2.2 million for boating infrastructure

WASHINGTON, D.C.

Put-in-Bay will receive more than $2.2 million in competitive grants for boating infrastructure projects according to an announcement made today by U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown, D-Ohio.

The new federal funds were awarded through a competitive process at the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service’s Boating Infrastructure Grant (BIG) program.

The Ohio Department of Natural Resources will partner with Put-in-Bay to match the $2.2 million allocation.

They will invest more than $1.3 million for boating infrastructure improvements.

Projects include dock repairs and new construction, protection improvements on all docks and new lighting installations.
