SANDUSKY

Amanda Prine wanted a job so badly she was willing to put in a hard day's work standing in line to get one.

At 9:15 a.m. Feb. 25, the 20-year-old got in line for a job at Menards, the big, new hardware store at Milan and Strub roads.

Finally, at about 6 p.m., the line advanced far enough so Prine, her father, Gary Sibigtroth, and her fiance, Arlin Ash, could be granted preliminary interviews.
