I see the MetroParks board is back again, usurping the rights of the people of Erie County. I guess they feel they know better than the citizens of Erie County.

The citizens voted not to increase the funds for the park system. The commission will take $3.7 million of our tax money, and do what they want in the name of creating stimulus jobs. Yes, they will create a few short term construction jobs and add a few more staff. In a few years they will want to increase our taxes to support the Metro Parks. The citizens again will say no, because we will be paying for the $3.7 million the board has spent.

Remember the board is the same group who thought they had the right to take the property of the people along the Huron River. We have never seen a bill for attorney fees and for what they had to pay for the property.

Thank God the Ohio Supreme Court still knows what is in our constitution.

Yes, the federal government will tax the wealthy.

For the most part the wealthy are the people who supply our goods and services, so they will treat this tax as a cost of doing business. Who gets the bill?
