The Erie County Dog Pound has the following dogs available for adoption:

* Male, 6 years old, 40 pounds

Available: Now.

The dog is housebroken, mellow and needs an older person to love him, dog warden Barb Knapp said.

* Mixed female corgi mix, 20 pounds, 2 years old

Available: Now.

She is housebroken and friendly.

* Male yorkie mix, 8 pounds, 7 months old

Available: Now.

The dog is very playful.

* Male Rottweiler, 100 pounds

Available: Now.

The dog is outgoing.

* Labrador mixed male, 7 years old, 80 pounds

Available: 10 a.m. Saturday.

The dog is good on a leash and super friendly.

The Erie County Humane Society features the following felines available for adoption:

* Surrey is a 2-year-old handsome, long-haired guy. His owner lost his home.

* Blossom is a 6-month-old tiger kitten, playful and loving.

* Garfield is front declawed and is a big baby. He is 5 years old, so his adoption fees have been waived in the hopes he goes to a loving home soon.

* Sunflower is a pretty calico girl. She is 4 years old. Her adoption fee is also waived.

The Humane Society is located at 1911 Superior St., Sandusky. Adoption hours are 1-6 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday and 1-4 p.m. Saturday. Normal adoption fees are: Cats/kittens $60, but fees are waived for cats 3 years old or older. Dogs/puppies $60. The fees include spaying/neutering and first shots if the kitten is at least 3 months old. The phone number is 419-626-6220.
