Perkins earned the top spots Friday for the 200-yard medley and 400-yard freestyle relay teams at the 82nd Annual Boys State Swimming Championships in Canton.

The Pirates finished in 1:35.42 in the medley relay and an unofficial 3:10.95 — the electronic timer failed midway through the race — in the freestyle relay.

Both times earned automatic All-America honors and broke school records. The championship finals begin Saturday at 9 a.m.
