A nurse at the Ohio Veterans Home was charged with two felonies and placed on unpaid administrative leave for allegedly stealing money from a 96-year-old resident, OVH police Chief Gabe Ferencz said.

Tammy M. Shoup, 39, of Bloomville is accused of taking the money from an envelope stored in a locked closet that also housed medication, Ferencz said. The envelope contained $100, and Shoup is accused of taking $60, Ferencz said.
