James Welch, who produced "Curse of the Flesh" with his niece, Ghostly Manor manager Renee Matthews, is hosting auditions Sunday for a second film.

The film, "Hell's Lake," delves into the devious deeds of a research scientist who creates a monster near Lake Erie. The monster wreaks havoc on the local community. There are 33 speaking roles, and Welch said he hopes to start filming June 1. Filming will continue through the summer with flexible scheduling.

The positions are voluntary, and no experience is necessary.

Auditions are slated from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. this Sunday at the Sandusky State Theatre. Candidates should plan to read segments from a script provided the day of the audition. No resumes or prepared performances are needed.

Those who are unable to attend the audition can call Welch at 419-366-7106 to arrange an interview.
