Troopers clocked William Hawes, 26, of Medina, driving 89 mph in a 70 mph zone on the Ohio Turnpike on Thursday morning.
When they ran his license plates on his 2008 Chevy, they found Hawes was wanted on a bank robbery warrant filed by Akron police.
Troopers pulled Hawes over and searched his car, finding a small amount of heroin and $170. The cash had blue dye on it.
Hawes is held in the Erie County Jail. He had not bond set as of 3 p.m.
