Whipping winds and heavy rain that pummeled the area Wednesday night and early Thursday did not cause any major problems for the Erie County Sheriff's office, Capt. Paul Sigsworth said.
"We had some calls for tree limbs down that we got up very quickly," Sigsworth said.
The sheriff's office received no calls of flooded roads.
The Sandusky Fire Department responded to five wind-related calls during a 90-minute period starting just after midnight.
A tree fell on a home in the 1500 block of Hayes Ave., resulting in no injuries, assistant fire Chief Paul Ricci said.
Firefighters responded to calls of arcing power lines as well.
