Otis Hall, 66, was flown by medical helicopter to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo.
Hall was driving a Ford Ranger south on Berlin Road at about 5:30 p.m., when the vehicle went off the left side of the road, Erie County deputies said.
He apparently overcorrected and lost control of the truck, which swerved before rolling into a ditch. Hall was trapped inside when deputies arrived.
Berlin Township firefighters freed him from the wreckage. He had several lacerations on his head, but was conscious and talking, deputies said.
Hall was listed in serious condition late Monday at the Toledo hospital. Deputies didn’t immediately cite him. The crash remains under investigation.
