The National Weather Service in Cleveland has issued a lake effect snow advisory in effect until noon.

Bands of lake effect snow will continue into the morning before tapering off. An additional 1 to locally 3 inches will occur through the morning hours.

In Erie County it will be mainly east of Huron.

People will have to allow extra time for the morning commute as most roads will be snow covered.

Precautionary/preparedness actions

In lake effect snow, the weather can vary from locally heavy snow in narrow bands to clear skies just a few miles away.

If you will be traveling across the region be prepared for rapid changes in road and visibility conditions.
