BELLEVUE

On Tuesday, voters overwhelming defeated a 3.75-mill levy for Bellevue Schools by the unofficial vote of 1,628 to 894. The levy -- defeated by voters in every county -- would have generated about $900,000 annually for the district.

But now the chopping will continue, school officials said. Academic programs and class sizes are now in danger, as are other teaching positions.
