HURON

The Huron Bicentennial Committee is seeking local artists who'd like to "recreate Huron in an art form" on Adirondack chairs.

The public art project, ARTirondack, will mark Huron's 200th birthday this year. It will feature 25 hand-painted Adirondack chairs displayed at local businesses and other public spots in June and July.

The Bicentennial Committee will auction off the chairs in August at a gala at Kalahari.

Artists interested in participating should request an information packet from Julie Barnes Foster at jbfoster@barnesnursery.com or Jennifer Kilbury at kilbury4@verizon.net.
