VERMILION TWP.

A Vermilion Township man remains in the hospital after he suffered a head injury while splitting wood.

Tony Rigsby was working with a chainsaw and log splitter at about 11:40 a.m. Monday while in the woods of friend's home in the 13000 block of Darrow Road when he was injured, according to law enforcement officials and neighbors.

Rigsby, accompanied by his wife, was flown by helicopter to St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center in Toledo.
