Shon Alexander, 21, was charged with four counts of criminal damaging, obstructing official business and failure to comply with police orders.

He was also cited for running a red light and reckless driving.

Ken Philon, told police he was working on his car at about 9:30 p.m. in the 1300 block of Prospect St. when a gray Chrysler pulled up. A man jumped out and grabbed something out of the trunk, then walked toward Philon.

“Ken said he was afraid he was going to be assaulted, so he backed up and began to retreat to his residence,” a Sandusky police report said.

After tossing the landscaping stone into the windshield of Philon’s car, the man jumped back into his own car and drove away. Police spotted the gray Chrysler, but in the 500 block of E. Adams St. the vehicle stopped and the driver fled on foot. Officers caught the suspect and quickly identified him as Alexander.

When they returned to get Philon’s account of the events, he told them someone had also used a brick to smash out a window at his son’s house. Philon’s son, Jermaine Philon, 25, told officers he was lying on the couch watching his daughter play when a brick came crashing through his front window, the report said.

Officers told Jermaine his friend, Shon “Littleman” Alexander, was arrested for the vandalism.

I wonder how he got that nickname.
