Strub Road was closed for several hours Friday afternoon between Columbus Avenue and Milan Road following a car versus motorcycle collision.

Officers at the scene said a man riding a motorcycle pulled out of a plaza parking lot in front of a car headed east on Strub Road.

The car rear-ended the motorcycle, causing the motorcycle to fall to its side, sliding about 50 feet. The rider was alert and talking to police before he was transported by ambulance to Firelands Regional Medical Center.

Officers are still investigating. For more, pick up a copy of Saturday's Register.

It's those damn signs that are causing the problem.  There are two signs right next to the road advertising crap in he plaza that obstruct your view coming out of the parking lot from oncoming traffic.  I can't believe the township hasn't done anything about them.  I hope the rider is ok, and I hope he sues the people who put the view obstructing signs up in the first place.  I'm not even sure if those signs are allowed to be in place permanently like that in the township.

This is my dad! I live down in Florida now, and can't say what actually happened. I know he is extremely cautious when he is in a car or on his bike! I do know that Bernie is home this morning.

I just hope that all drivers no matter what your in would just look twice and proceed  with caution.
