Until the moment Erica Shine collapsed in the post office, the 38-year-old mother of two seemed to be in good health.
"They said that she had a massive heart attack," Shine's mother, Rose Thompson, said as she recalled the Oct. 13 tragedy. "She was dead instantly."
Shine's sudden death turned her family's life upside down, and there could be more changes to come.
Shine worked in shipping at the Lear Corp. plant in Huron, where she accumulated as many overtime hours as she could to support her sons, Ronald Jr. -- who turned 18 on the day of his mother's death -- and Eric, 12.
