I have had a shop in downtown Sandusky for 48 years. During these years, I have seen our city go through many changes. The current project is the closest we have come to help our city grow.
We had the pleasure of meeting the Rausch Company from Baltimore. They came to visit Sandusky 21 years ago. The main suggestion was to develop residential on our waterfront. They were surprised to see our Jackson Street Pier used as a parking lot.
Visitors from out of town question what is wrong with our town. If these people can see the potential why can't our locals see this.
Condos bring people. These people will shop in our city. I have had customers from the Chesapeake condos. It does work!
Our downtown merchants are trying to keep our city alive. We need help now.
