GROTON TWP.

A 37-year-old woman was rushed to Bellevue Hospital and later MCO in Toledo after she lost control of her car during snowy conditions on Ohio 269 just after 8 p.m. Tuesday.

Michelle L. Bailey, High Street in Bellevue, was later charged with driving under the influence and failure to control, the Ohio State Highway Patrol said.

She sustained incapacitating injuries when her 1997 Grand Am went off the road just south of Strecker Road and landed in a field after running through a ditch and plowing over a fence.

Bailey was not wearing a seat belt and refused a blood test.
