The National Weather Service in Cleveland has issued a winter weather advisory which is in effect until 7 a.m. Wednesday.

Low pressure will move up the Ohio valley this evening and bring a mix of snow and sleet to northwest Ohio. Precipitation will begin as snow late this afternoon before transitioning to snow and sleet this evening.

The snow and sleet will taper off early Wednesday morning with 2 to 4 inches of total snow and sleet accumulation possible.

Precautionary/Preparedness actions

A winter weather advisory is normally issued for a variety of winter weather conditions such as light snow, blowing snow, sleet, freezing rain and wind chills.

While the weather will be significant, the word advisory implies that severe winter weather is not anticipated.
