Those were both very odd 911 calls.

I love how the 911 operator did not know where John street was at.  And did the police really go and check the house?

Mother hen

Agreed in one news paper they said all doors were locked. So how did the friend get in, the unlock back door that only the screen was locked. This is all to odd, I hope in the end the truth comes out so the family might be able to have some closure.

Mother hen

Sorry screen door was not locked, both doors were unlocked.

 @rickross2...

I thought so, too.. Both on the side of the callers and the 911 dispatcher...

LetsDoThis

I agree, both calls were very odd. Odd enough to look into!! We never know how we would respond until we are in the situation but I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be that calm after finding a dead body. It's also interesting that the friend said "a body", I would think that a friend would just assume it's the person who they are there looking for, the person who hasn't been in contact with anyone, it's very interesting that he didn't use the victim's name. Or is it just that society has become apathetic to these situations?? I surely hope not!

Mother hen

I for one would of flipped the mattress to see if my friend was ok. I would of been freaking out. And would have never left.

man4451

Sorry, I may have missed something. Was there drugs found in Heather? I think I remember the news paper said it may have something to do with drugs.

Seen it All

If you listen to the second 911 call,  the man identifies himself, says his friend, and identifies his friend was worried about his friend Heather.  I don't think the caller was really connected to her.  And I would assume he was NUMB by his discovery.  I still don't understand why they left.. I could guess they freaked out, but then realized they had left their prints on the door and thought they had better be the ones that called it in.  That's the only logic I could make of it.

The door MAY have been locked when police checked (as the monster still could of been in there trying to figure out what to do with the body/bodies)/  I am curious as to if the children died around same time as mother, or much later.. as in he seen the cops, panicked because they were making noise... I don't know, just speculating as I cannot for the life of me understand WHY he had to kill the babies!

I JUST HOPE EVERYBODY INVOLVED IS CAUGHT

unbelievable..

There is something fishy about these calls.. and the whole story in general... very confusing as to what actually took place in that house or who all it involved.. hard to say if anyone will ever find out the real truth... may they all rest in peace..

Just listened to the calls.  I have to agree with below comments.  It actually sounds like everyone is on some kind of drug or medication?  The poor dispatcher couldnt understand a word from the mom.  May justice prevail.

shucks

They all sound like they're loaded.

Diane1071

I heard what the mother said just fine.  It did sound like there was noise on the line, like static. For goodness sake she was a scared mother when she was making this call with no access to a vehicle to go check on her daughter ( I heard that part of the call-her husband had the vehicle).  As far as the second caller yes he was calm, yet disturbed, I could certainly hear that in his voice.   I'm not quite certain I've ever heard a 911 call where the dispatcher has not had to ask the caller to repeat themselves.

If I went into a home and saw a body I wouldn't want to touch a thing!!!  I would hollar and if no one answered I would hope I would immediately leave and call 911.   Had anyone touched anything that could have tainted any evidence and the beast that did this horrible crime could use that in his defense.  Seriously, until anyone is in this situation one does not know what one would do, or how one would act or react.

I did not know the victims, but my heart has been hurting for them and their families since hearing of this terrible crime.  And, I did not realize this town had so many Nancy Drews!

May God comfort the family during their time of unthinkable distress.

I don't believe anyone sounded loaded...u people astonish me! How do you think you would sound making a call to the police as a worried mother and grandmother probably knowing in your gut that something just isn't right, or as someone that had just discovered a dead body...

The police say the doors were locked...but these guys found the back unlocked makes me wonder if he was still in there when they came the first time....and did the police look in windows or just knock on the doors? What a shame it would be if they were still alive when the " well being" check occurred.

I pray for Heather's family...may they find strength to walk the Long road ahead of them. And may the City of Sandusky find something else to do with their time other then come on this site and bad mouthing someone that has just paid the ultimate sacrifice for any wrong doing she has done in her very short life. They are VICTIMS Let them RIP!

@kaemae

I truely think the reason everyone posting on here has expressed negitive attitudes is because their p.....d.  No matter what lead up to this the 3 and 1 1/2 year old had nothing to do with it.  People have a tendency to get real ticked when innocent babies are involved, if you know them or not.   Were all on the same page, let Justice take care of who mudered this victims and quick. Prayers for the families.

Be ticked that's fine....the community should be ticked that we have lost 3 children and multiple adults n the past 2 years....I just wish people would stop pointing fingers at this poor girl.  Just because she is gone doesnt mean u need to rub her through the mud.  Instead look at the situation and try to learn from it not one of us is without fault in this world. Let's try to figure out how to make these murders stop not point out all of this girls faults after something like this has happened to her.

Unassumer

No one sounded drunk.  They sounded worried and confused and whether or not the back door was really locked or not, police did not confirm that Heather was okay.  Obviously she wasn't.  Thankfully their lack of concern changed into a concerted effort to find her killer.

ReallyGood

I have a very uneasy feeling now after listening to the second caller. I am now questioning a few things. This is horrible.

shucks

If I found dead bodies, the first thing I'd be yelling would be  I FOUND DEAD PEOPLE !!!

I wouldn't be introducing my friend and trying to describe my detective work, leave, and think something's up.

czechurself

I find all the circumstances to be "strange".

1. I find the well check to be off.  Why didnt the police enter the home?

2. I find the fact that the doors were locked one minute and unlocked the next curious.  Was Clinton still in the house initially and then leave and left the doors unlocked?  How much time elapsed between the well check and the visit from the aquintance that found her body?

3. I cant judge someones reaction to finding a body...I've never experienced such a thing. But to leave the house and go where (?) and then call 911, introduce myself, my friends, my experiences and then announce the purpose of my call...  I just feel some kinda way about that.

Puzzling.  I hope all the pieces come together.

Concerned For A...

I agree that the calls were kinda odd, but I think maybe the mom just had poor service so her call was cutting in and out. The second caller sounded like he was in shock. Imagine walking into your friends house and finding them like this. Everyone deals with mental and emotional trauma differently.

So this is what I think. This is only my own personal opinion, and I am basing this on the information provided by news and newspaper. It looks to me like the psychopath was in the house with her, when the police did their "well check". If the doors were locked when they were there, they weren't when the friend got there.....hmmm. Could be that the callers were the ones in there, but this is extremely doubtful, and hard to remotely believe. Either way, I'm convinced the murderer was in the house when police were there.

Watch this news cast, the guys eyes look evil. What he has done to this mother and her babies is trully horrible, disgusting, and mindlessly brutal. If this alleged rape really did happen, this girl has got to feel....well i would imagine she will be eaten alive by guilt for not moving forward and getting the rape kit done. If she would have done that, they could have detained him pending dna results. I'm sure she was terrified to say anything, lord knows what he threatened her with. Break out ole Sparky! This total waste of human flesh needs to ride the lightning! Normally I'm an avid supporter of throwing scum like this to the wolves, make them live out the rest of their natural lives in prison, just knowing they are never getting out. But this guy needs to die. There should never, ever again be the possibility of this monster walking our streets.

What struck me, was the fact that the poilce and just supposedly went there.  If you listen to the tape.

What did they do just drive by or shuck it off as another person on drugs not worthy of there time and attention. Who hires people that are suppose to work for the city and they don't know the streets in the city, you have the dispatcher asking the caller where is John street, those precious seconds could lead to the like and death situation.

Now I don't live in Sandusky, but it seems as a outsider looking in that this city is going to the dogs quick fast and in a hurry.

Prayers go out to the families that lost loved ones. Another thing why was this man even out of jail.

They said on the news that he had already strangled another young lady. What is going on.

blueyedgrl1030

If youve ever had to make a 911 call the dispatcher WILL ask you your name etc-maybe the second caller (the 2 that gained entry and found this henious crime) knew that and was in shock and started that way becuz he knew he'd be asked. Even before hearing Jody Lynch's 911 call I had already wondered whether SPD had actually done a well being check (news reports had said a previous well being check had been made) and once it was printed that it was actually someone else who found the body made me wonder. As a parent myself and that has a close relationship with my grandchildren and I know their routines I too would be concerned and IF it were I that asked for a well being check and got no response of "She's fine, theyre all fine" I would send someone else over there and possibly thats what happened-the 2nd 911 callers were doing what the SPD DIDNT DO-an actual well being check for the family. I can only imagine the horror for Mrs Lynch if she had a vehicle that day and was the one to find the scene that others did. I am just little ole me but I think that people should be alittle more respectful of this family and even the 2nd 911 callers. I do agree that finding what they did and possibly gaining entry by breaking open a locked door and then leaving and then calling 911 was a mistake but has anyone thought that all this rampant gossip on here could be cause for a savvy attorney to subpeopna blog records etc and help base a defense for this babykiller? In liklihood he will end up with Jeff Whitacre the lead defense attorney for the Public Defenders office but that doesnt mean total incompetence! And let me remind all of you-the neighbors (in the red house on the other side of the drive for 723 John St) stated they were up til after 3 am and heard a vehicle arrive in the driveway at 12am and it left around 3am (maybe they said 2:30 regardless they heard a vehicle come and go). Lets see what the autopsy report says on time of death etc and go from there is my thinking-in the meantime I think SPD possibly dropped the ball with their "well being" check on this poor girl and her children and if it comes out somehow that the responding officer indeed dropped the ball then WE as a community need to PUSH for SPD to make some changes in some of their procedures! Lastly if that officer really didnt do a well being check and merely knocked and got no answer and walked away-I truly hope officer that YOU arent sleeping well already!

I agree with you, the SPD seems as if they did't take this a urgent or serious at all.

I agree with most of you.  It all sounds unprofessional to me and the "facts" are confusing!
