I am writing on behalf of myself and several parents with children playing for the SABL Eagles baseball league. After several failed attempts to resolve this issue with the director and a few board members, we are not sure where else to turn.

Every year at the end of baseball season the children have a banquet. They are awarded trophies or medals for placing or just trying their best and participating.

This year there was no banquet. The only reason that we hear is that they can't afford it because of the theft at the concession stand over the summer.

These kids worked hard all year just to be punished for something they had no control over.

Did anyone think of a fundraiser to help replace the stolen money? It's not too late. A late banquet is better than no banquet.

I hope the board reads this and finds a solution. It would be sad if all the families who feel slighted by the league decide to go elsewhere for baseball next year. All the friends made will be friends lost.
