SANDUSKY

With its economy on thin ice, city officials are skating toward downtown redevelopment.

They're hoping a new ice rink, the city's latest project, will help solidify downtown Sandusky's future.

The Frost-Parker Foundation recently donated $15,000 to the city for a feasibility study on an ice rink and multipurpose facility within city limits.

The study, conducted by JRV Management out of Taylor, Mich., will decide if an ice rink would bring money into the city.
