SANDUSKY

Shoppers, take your marks.

In less than 24 hours, the race to bag big bargains is on.

And in the midst of softer sales, retailers are expecting more people than ever lining up outside their stores this season.

Elder Beerman manager Sean Carew said the Sandusky Mall store plans to open at 4 a.m. Friday -- an hour earlier than last year, and two hours before the mall's official opening.

The store offers 277 door-buster sales until 1 p.m.
