Who will be the 1st to get hit and killed?  Can't wait!

Great !!  Maybe andy white will want to make a " golf cart lane " across the river bridge for all the new traffic !  Right next to the biking lane.........................

Ok guys and gals..I know this is off topic but when is the REGISTER webpage changing as it was to happen last week???  Anyone know what the problem is ??  I did not want to bother Mailbag for this simple question.  Thanks

Hillside

Well years ago they wiped out the downtown completely making it pretty much a bump in the road, might as well let the buffalo roam

Snowmobiles--4-wheelers?  What's next?

Cowboy

It's bad enough we have to dodge joggers and bikes but now we have golf carts that go 15 mph!  Great thanks, I'm sure they have air bags right?

Fibber Mcgee

Was this really necessary?  Do we not have better things to worry about.  Why did this come up at all.

Just asking........

55 miles to the gallon, The golf cart rental places will create jobs, a inland oasis of muffleheads and staggering drunks on the weekends, Who can beat it, It will be just like a put in bay party town without the boatride!

Julie R.

Bad enough worrying about joggers and kids on bikes and now I have to worry about stupid golf carts, too?

In case no one  has noticed, the powers that be are slowly turning our town into Fort Huron, Florida. We have snow here! Don't they get that? Obviously not!

It started with Urban renewal putting in a boat basin for the warm months and so on and so forth. This city government needs to be  thrown out and replaced by new people who don't have special interests or special friends pulling the governmental strings.

Asking the citizens what they want and then totally ignoring them is nothing but a dictatorship!

The golf carts, bicycles and pedestrians have no business on heavily travelled roads when it's good weather, so why do they need more space in the freezing cold winters when the lanes won't even be visible! Stupid is as stupid does and our city government is not listening!! Oh wait, let's lower the speed limit on Route 2 and let them have that space, too!

Reading, I understand your last paragraph regarding the golf carts, but you seem to be forgetting that bicycles have every bit as much right to be in the road as cars do.

Fibber Mcgee

This is just stupid....   who would even bring this idea up?  What next,  carriage rides around downtown?

Armymom7

What downtown?  It does seem concerning, the amount of traffic on Cleveland Road West and the s curves on Main Street.....

Darwin's choice

informed, how is it that bikes have every right to the roads as cars?

Informed

Darwin, it's the law.  Look it up.  There are only a few roads, such as freeways, where bicycles are not allowed.  Otherwise they have every right to ride on the road.

worddrow811

Let me clarify, the smaller wheeled vehicles may have a legal right to the road space, they do not have a right to get in anyone's way and abuse their privilege. It all comes down to TONNAGE rules and the bigger the vehicle, the more space it will require to traverse said lane space.

I have driven behind many of you and your arrogance astounds me when you expect others to yield because you don't feel like getting out of the way of a speeding car while you listen to your music devices that totally block what you might need to hear, such as someone about to crash into you.
