HURON

Nicky's secret is no longer unspoken.

It was revealed to a crowd of more than 30 people Thursday evening in an effort to raise awareness of a growing issue among young adults.

One out of every four teen relationships is abusive in some way, said Michele Freeman, a professional adviser at the Safe Harbour Domestic Violence Shelter.

To illustrate the problem, a council of high school students performed "Nicky's Secret," a one-act play hosted at the McBride Auditorium in conjunction with the shelter and the Women's Resource Group at BGSU Firelands.
