County sales taxes have gone up for the fifth month in a row.

Erie County sales taxes collected in August went up 5.61 percent, county administrator Mike Bixler reported at today's meeting of the Erie County commissioners. So far this year, county sales taxes are up 2.46 percent, Bixler said.
