Local Kids Care Club members showed area nursing home residents they are never too old for presents and cake.
Organized and advised by the Volunteer Center, the clubs at Adams Junior High, Berlin Elementary and Furry Elementary schools threw birthday parties -- complete with balloons, cake and presents -- for residents from Concord Care, the Erie County Care Facility and the Ohio Veterans Home. The parties were part of each club's monthly service project.
