SANDUSKY

As autumn leaves fall so do the number of visitors downtown.

But Sandusky's Main Street Association has a plan to battle the fall slump: A friendly competition in the form of scarecrows.

VOTE FOR YOUR SCARECROW: Ballots can be filled out and dropped off at either Red Raven Books, 133 E. Market St.; Eric's Clothing for Men, 101 W. Water St.; or Bertsch Jewelers, 101 W. Market St. The contest runs until Halloween, when votes will be counted and the winners announced.
