A Sandusky man is recovering in an undisclosed hospital from serious injuries he suffered in a motorcycle crash earlier this month. His female passenger also remains hospitalized.
Shawn K. Pasch, 33, 2200 block Wilson St., fractured the back of his skull and suffered broken ribs and other broken bones in the crash, his mother, Linda Goins, said. Goins did not reveal where her son is receiving treatment.
Donna A. Spring, 40, 500 block Taylor St., who was a passenger on Pasch's bike, is listed in critical condition in the neurological intensive care unit at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center in Toledo, a hospital spokeswoman said.
Pasch and Spring were riding west on Taylor Street on Pasch's 1987 Yamaha motorcycle about 11:25 p.m. Oct. 12 when Pasch lost control of the bike and slammed into a tree, Sandusky police said. According to a witness statement, Pasch was spotted speeding down Taylor Street and doing wheelies just before the accident.
Pasch and Spring were both taken from the scene by ambulance to Firelands Regional Medical Center and later taken by medical helicopter to St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center in Toledo.
