Gov. Bill Richardson's Democratic campaign for president didn't work out, so he's coming to Sandusky next week to ask voters to support Barack Obama instead.

The New Mexico governor, who dropped his own race and later endorsed Obama, will be in Sandusky from 12:45 to 1:45 p.m. Monday at the Erie County Democratic Party's headquarters, 101 E. Shoreline Drive.

He's scheduled to speak and take questions, said Amy Grubbe, chairwoman of the Erie County Democratic Party.

"We're very excited to be hosting Gov. Richardson and looking forward to having him speak on behalf of the Obama and Biden campaign for change," Grubbe said.
