Any registered voter is entitled to cast an absentee vote in this November's election. In contrast to years past, no reason is required to choose this option.
You can find as many excuses to take a pass on your right to vote as there are political yard signs. But not being able to get to the polling place on Nov. 4 is no longer one of them.
The election process works when as many eligible voters as possible voice their opinions. Through the years, many have fought for their right to vote. Those battles were won through the untiring efforts of civil rights workers, strong women and champions of the "little guys."
"We the people" includes all of us. Making the ballot accessible to any American citizen of legal age is a step to readily include all of our choices for our future.
Make your voice heard -- vote.
