After more than 33 years on the radio, Mark Fogg was caught offguard Monday morning when he learned his job was being eliminated.

Fogg, a sports director and program director for 1450 WLEC, said BAS Broadcasting owners told him the decision was a cost-cutting measure.

“It hurts in the respect that it’s never the way I wanted it to happen,” Fogg told the Register late Monday night. “I loved what I did, I put my whole heart and soul into it.”
