Feeling green?

If so, the Halfway to St. Patrick’s Day celebration is the place to be all day long Sept. 27 in Put-in-Bay, where various island establishments will be Leprechaun friendly.

“Since we’re not open for the regular St. Patrick’s Day, and we like to celebrate some of the holidays when we get a chance, we just kind of get in the mood,” said Round House Manager Teri Winchester. “So we’ll have green beer, we’ll decorate and do everything people do on St. Patrick’s Day.”

That includes spirited t-shirts (this year’s design features the slogan “Who knew going halfway could be so much fun?”), Irish-oriented beverages and, naturally, entertainment. The Flyin’ Js, who do a bit of everything including Irish tunes, will perform, as will Mike “Mad Dog” Adams and Calabash.
