SANDUSKY

The plan to start a commuter rail to connect Sandusky with Cleveland continues to chug along.

Brian McCann of the Northern Ohio Commuter Rail Coalition said the commuter train could be up and running within two years.

McCann spoke to members of the North Coast Chamber of Commerce on Wednesday, detailing the group's progress and extolling the virtues of the initiative.

The high-speed train has gained support at the state level.
