So the Sandusky School Board wants us to pass two school levies. I, for one, am voting NO to both.

One reason is the school board's insistence on shoving the uniform policy down our throats. The school board already has a policy. It's called a dress code. I remember having to follow a dress code when I was in school. I don't care what anyone says about the uniform policy being so good; enforce what you already have. I've heard that there is a drive to recall the city commission. Maybe we should recall the whole school board to bring some common sense to the schools. I've said before that if the parents got off their butts and did their job, we wouldn't have to put up with a uniform policy pushed on us.

I am also voting no because I still don't think the schools need it, not with some people getting $100,000 salaries. Cut some of these salaries and I'm sure they will find the money pretty quick. I'm just not convinced enough cuts have been made.

I urge all citizens to vote NO on the school levies and if the levies are voted down, maybe the school board will wake up and start using some common sense.
