A consolidated county dispatch plan with an estimated price tag of more than $2 million will be presented during a public hearing Thursday night at the campus of BGSU Firelands.

County officials haven't figured out yet how to pay for the consolidation.

A group of county officials chaired by county commissioner Tom Ferrell is backing a recommendation by RCC Consultants to merge dispatch operations for the Erie County Sheriff's office, Sandusky, Perkins Township, Huron and Margaretta Township into a single operation.
