Rufus Sanders's column, "Desperate John," should have been called "Desperate Rufus." Desperately trying to find fault with the McCain/Palin ticket.

For Mr. Sanders to say Palin has no executive experience is absurd. She ran her own business. She ran a city, first on council, then as mayor. She ran the state of Alaska with a balanced budget by cutting hundreds of millions in wasteful spending. She increased taxes on oil companies and negotiated a great deal for the people of Alaska. And when she saw corruption, she turned in members of her own political party. Now that's a politician I want to see let loose on Washington.

Barack Obama hasn't even run a lemonade stand.

John McCain has spent 20 years in the Senate and not requested one penny in earmarks. Obama in his first two years in the Senate funneled millions for pet projects.

And what about Obama's VP pick? Joe Biden was brought in to make up for Obama's zero foreign policy experience. But Biden voted for the Iraq War.

Obama's campaign is based on the fact he's against the war. Go figure that one out.

We need the best people in office, no matter Republican or Democrat.

Take a piece of paper, Mr. Sanders. Put a line down the middle.

On the left, fill in what Obama/Biden have done for the people of this country. On the right, McCain/ Palin. Don't worry if you run out of room writing on the McCain/Palin side. There is plenty of blank page you can use on the left that Obama/Biden won't need.

Inexperience is not a virtue.
