Cedar Point was named best amusement park in the world and Cedar Fair's Castaway Bay also took near-top honors for the best indoor water park in the annual Golden Ticket Awards.

Cedar Point also lived up to its fame as the roller coaster capital of the world with two of the park's rides landing in the top 10 and three others getting high rankings.

The Millennium Force snagged the No. 2 spot and Magnum was rated No. 7 in the steel roller coaster category. The other coasters receiving honors were: Top Thrill Dragster was No. 9, Maverick No. 12 and Raptor No. 22.

Castaway Bay made the top five for best indoor water parks.
