MILAN

A helicopter that took roost atthe North Central EMS station in Milan a few months ago has proven itself useful.

The helicopter, which usually maintains a speed of 180 mph during flight, started carrying patients at the end of March. Since then it has flown more than 270 times, said Sarah Bednarski, a spokeswoman for Mercy Health Partners.
