PERKINS TWP.

A year from now the pinging sound from aluminum bats making solid contact with horsehide will fill the air at Strickfaden Park.

On Tuesday the only sound was the drone of heavy machinery moving dirt.

Construction is in full swing for the youth baseball field at the park, which is located off Bell Avenue.
