Sandusky State Theatre is a historic, 1500-seat, world-class theater that has operated as a downtown performance arts center since 1928. The theater is a showplace for the live performing arts and film, Broadway touring productions, concerts and variety shows and is dedicated to helping create and preserve the cultural heritage of the community.

One of the oldest community theater groups in Ohio, the Harlequins stage several comedy and drama productions each year in a building that is a former stagecoach livery. Season begins in November.
